In response to the structural contradiction between the supply and demand of medical resources, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University focuses on optimizing resource allocation, improving service accessibility and patient medical experience, aiming to solve problems such as rigid resource allocation and high emergency turnover pressure through measures such as reforming bed management mode and strengthening emergency patient treatment. After the implementation of the reform, the medical efficiency and case mix index have improved, the average length of hospital stay has been shortened, and the level of patient satisfaction has been increasing year by year. However, the paradox of emergency volume-effectiveness suggests the need to further strengthen the ability to allocate dynamic resources. This article summarizes the specific measures, work effectiveness, and future plans, in order to provide references for the transformation of service models in large general hospitals.
